Grounding is a practice that can help you reconnect with the earth, nature, and yourself. Grounding can help you refocus, relieve pain, distressing feelings, sleep patterns, flashbacks, unwanted memories, speed wound healing, boost moods, increase energy, as well as negative or challenging emotions such as anxiety, stress, depression, PTSD, dissociation, and so much more. It helps bring you back into the present moment and connect you with the elements and you.

5 signs that you are not currently grounded:
1. Your mind is racing & busy, but you can't focus on any one thing that you need to do.
2. You find yourself engaging in distractions to avoid tasks & your own looping thoughts.
3. You are tired & wired at the same time.
4. You find it difficult to complete projects and jump from one thing to another.
5. You feel restless & discontent with your surroundings, yourself, & the people around you.
Being grounded is something we all need. When we are a grounded person we feel present in our bodies, calm and certain of what we need to do. We are in touch with ourselves our instincts, intuition, and are able to tackle the day with ease and grace. More often than not the busyness and craziness of our lives pull us out of this state and we must make an effort to schedule in the time for grounding.

Some of my favorite ways of grounding are bare feet on the ground, swimming in clean lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and oceans, laying out in the sun with as much skin exposed as possible without toxic sunscreens, going on walks in nature, hugging or sitting by trees, sitting by a fire on a nice night, smelling, connecting, and or collecting plants and flowers for medicine, dancing or playing in the warm rain, and gardening.

When you take the time to properly ground yourself you receive a charge of energy in the form of electrons, helping to synchronize you with the natural frequencies of the earth.
Grounding helps increase the body's ability to heal.

I hope you find the much needed time to get yourself into nature and get grounded.
20 - 30min a day or more is recommended.
